Hello and welcome to AzureMate, Windows Azure Cloud Data Storage Explorer System,
Main Form Home Page. We hope that AzureMate will perform according to all your expectations. Although
running AzureMate is very intuitive, you may find yourself, at times, looking for answers
to questions about a particular AzureMate method that is not so obvious. You will find all the
help you may need below this introduction.

AzureMate must have access to your Azure Storage Account(s), contained in your Microsoft Azure Cloud Services account. You must have created Microsoft Azure Cloud Data Storage Account(s). You can do this on their Azure Website. They give you a month free trial and include few hundred dollars to spend on whatever parts of cloud you wish but the data storage is extremely cheap. When your account is verified, create a Storage Account(s) in your Azure Portal, then List and Maintain them in AzureMate.
In compliance with the Privacy Act 2001 in Australia and our own Privacy Statement , Softhard Solutions will not disclose or sell your email address, name, address or any other personal details to any third party.
AzureMate can't create your Storage Accounts, they must be created in your Azure Portal, listed in AzureMate and then AzureMate can create your Blob, Table and Queue containers and maintain your data in them using these accounts.
The ListView controls have their own context menu reachable by right clicking on to them. They contain commands you do not normally see displayed on form.
The grids of data, throughout AzureMate, may contain one or more fields that are too short to display fully. Point on the field and a Tip will pop up showing you the contents. These fields show three dots at the end for continuation cue.
Any time you are not sure of something while running AzureMate, press the F1 function key (usually situated on top of your keyboard) for extensive context help.
If you press the Ctrl+F6 keys on your keyboard, it will zoom through any windows forms you currently have 'open' inside AzureMate.
From this main program page you can control the AzureMate's behavior and display. AzureMate program runs in MDI (multiple document interface) mode. This means that almost all (except few modal and file transfer) forms run only within the AzureMate frame. There is almost no limit on how many forms are opened at the same time. When they cover each other, you can control them from the top 'Windows' menu.
Beside the top menu, there is another menu, so called context menu, which is reachable by right clicking on to any control (within the forms). Most controls have their own context menu.
When you look at the top right corner of the page you will see the currently selected storage account's total number of Blob, Table and Queue containers.
Following table contains all the available elements for review.
The Menu bar at the top is there for your convenience:
Handles File options, exit AzureMate and updating your List of accounts
Handles quick access to windows Calculator and Notepad.
Handles options for open forms.
Handles About AzureMate, Registration and local and website help.
The number of Blob, Table and Queue containers in currently selected Azure Storage Account. Applies to the selected account in the 'Current Storage Account Used' combo box.
This combo box contains all the Azure Storage Account Names that you have entered
into the List of accounts for selection. When you
select any account here, this account is used throughout all the AzureMate
operations. Selected account is remembered for next time you start AzureMate.
Note that when you select another account, all open forms are closed, to be restarted for the selected storage account and the Information fields will change their values.
This combo box contains two Internet communication protocols, HTTP and HTTPS for downloading and
uploading data to and from AzureMate for selection. When you select any protocol
here, this protocol is used throughout all the AzureMate operations. Selected
protocol is remembered for next time you start AzureMate.
We recommend to use the more secured HTTPS communication protocol, all data traffic is encrypted before downloading or uploading data to or from AzureMate.
Note that when you select another protocol, all open forms are closed, to be restarted for the selected protocol.
